We're looking for a commercially focused Finance Business Partner to join our Scotland Health team, supporting a portfolio of facilities management contracts worth approximately £50 million.
This is an influential role where you'll work alongside operational leaders, turning financial and operational data into meaningful insights that drive performance, improve efficiency and support strategic decision-making.

What you'll be doing
As Finance Business Partner, you'll provide dedicated commercial and financial support across a portfolio of healthcare contracts in Scotland, including Forth Valley Royal Hospital, University Hospital Wishaw, Queen Elizabeth Hospital’s Langlands Building, and Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary.
You’ll be responsible for
- Partnering with operational and contract leaders to provide commercial and financial insight that supports strategic decision‑making.
- Leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities across your portfolio.
- Providing robust financial analysis, scenario modelling and performance reporting.
- Identifying opportunities to improve profitability, reduce costs and optimise contract performance.
- Supporting commercial negotiations including contract variations, extensions and change notices.
- Monitoring financial and commercial risks and driving mitigation plans.
- Working closely with our Finance Hub to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
- Using digital tools, technology and data analytics to improve financial decision‑making.
- Presenting complex financial information in a clear and engaging way for a range of stakeholders.
- Building strong relationships across operational, commercial and finance teams to influence positive outcomes.
- What you’ll need
We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical finance expertise with excellent commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills. You’ll ideally have:
- A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Membership of a relevant professional body (where applicable).
- Experience partnering with senior business leaders in a complex commercial environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience analysing both financial and operational performance drivers.
- Experience within contract‑based, outsourced services or bidding environments.
- Excellent financial planning, budgeting and forecasting experience.
- The ability to influence, challenge and build credibility with senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with confidence interpreting incomplete or ambiguous information.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insight.
- A proactive, resilient and collaborative approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
Experience within Facilities Management, Healthcare or similar service‑based environments would be advantageous but is not essential.
