Working Hours: 40 hours per week, between Monday to Sunday (flexible working days and evenings)

Salary: £28,500 to £32,000 per annum + excellent benefits + Overtime opportunities

Bisham Abbey is one of Sport England's National Sports Centres and is home to a number of National Governing Bodies of Sport. Bisham Abbey provides excellent facilities to Britain's leading sports men and women. Bisham Abbey is also a Conferencing and Event Centre, boasting a large number of recently refurbished rooms and outdoor spaces for weddings, corporate events, and team-building days.

In this role you will be responsible for supporting all hospitality operations throughout the Bisham Abbey site. You will oversee all areas ensuring a high-quality service, effective cost management, and guest satisfaction. This is a fully operational role where you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the event business.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines to the highest standard – This includes Weddings, Events, Conferences, and the daily dining services.
  • Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service
  • Collaborate with the Hospitality & Events Manager & Head Chef to produce new menus to ensure a variety for our returning guests and partners
  • Identify customers’ needs and respond proactively to all of their concerns
  • Lead the Events team by attracting, recruiting, training and appraising talented employees
  • Establish targets, KPI’s, schedules, policies and procedures
  • Provide a two-way communication and nurture an ownership environment with emphasis in motivation and teamwork
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations
  • Report on management regarding sales results and productivity

About you

To be considered for this role, it would be desirable for you to have an interest in weddings & events or be willing to learn through full training to operate within them. Previous experience within a Food and Beverage facility, specifically management is essential. You'll have your finger on the pulse with the latest trends in the marketplace working closely with the team to ensure we deliver the best food, drink and entertainment in the region.

You must have your food hygiene level 3 award in food safety and be willing to apply (through us) for a personal alcohol license. You'll have strong organisational skills and the ability to hit the ground running. You'll have a keen eye for detail, the desire to make magic happen and have a passion for providing a great service to our customers.
