Field Officer – Electronic Monitoring Wrexham

Role overview: On a day-to-day basis, you’ll visit individuals in their homes to install tagging equipment. You’ll either work alone or with a Monitoring Support Officer. You’ll build confidence in the justice system and reassure them of safety for themselves and the public. Your work helps reduce pressure on the prison system and supports ex-prisoners to rejoin their communities. Every day is different.

Responsibilities

  • Visit individuals in their homes to install tagging equipment (electronic monitoring).
  • Work solo or alongside a Monitoring Support Officer.
  • Build trust with individuals and explain safety and public protection aspects.
  • Contribute to reducing pressure on the prison system and support community reintegration.

What you need to do the job

  • Commitment to making a difference; prior specific work experience not required—the role provides training.
  • Complete a 2 weeks initial training course and shadow/mentorship.
  • Current valid UK driver’s license, reasonably good physical fitness, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Training and other information

3 weeks of training will be provided; you will be supported by an experienced Officer/Mentor until comfortable.

All offers subject to Baseline Personnel Standard Security vetting (right to work/identity checks, basic criminal record check, and verification of the last 3 years of employment or academic activity).
