Overview
Electronic Monitoring Field Officer role at Serco. Location: Runcorn/Widnes Area (WA7/WA8).
Working as an Electronic Monitoring Field Officer involves visiting individuals to install tagging equipment, either alone or with a Monitoring Support Officer. You will help build confidence in the justice system and reassure individuals and the public about safety. The role contributes to reducing pressure on the prison system and helping ex-prisoners reintegrate into their communities. The position is operational year-round with a rolling rota and a typical average of 37.5 hours per week, including day, weekend, and bank holiday shifts.
3 weeks of training will be provided, with mentorship from an experienced Officer until you are comfortable in the role. Due to contractual obligations, applications from female candidates are particularly welcome in line with the Equality Act 2010.
What you need to do the job and qualifications:
- Current valid UK driver’s license
- Reasonably fit with good written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to making a difference to the lives of others; you will learn during your initial training and through shadowing
Additional information: All offers are subject to Baseline Personnel Standard Security vetting (including right to work/identity checks, basic criminal record check, and verification of the last 3 years of employment or academic activity).
