About the Role
You will serve as an Electronic Monitoring Field Officer for Serco, using the strengths of caring, compassion and resilience to support people during challenging times. Your day-to-day duties will involve traveling to individuals’ homes to install monitoring equipment, working solo or with a Monitoring Support Officer, building rapport with clients and helping to reduce pressure on the prison system. You will receive three weeks of training, plus ongoing mentorship, and you will work a range of shifts (day, weekend, bank holiday) with an average 37.5-hour week and a flexible rota provided up to ten weeks in advance.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to individuals’ homes to install tagging equipment.
- Build confidence and rapport with individuals and the justice system.
- Work solo or alongside a Monitoring Support Officer.
- Assist in the smooth operation of the electronic monitoring service.
- Adhere to rota and flexibility requirements, including early starts or late finishes as needed.

- Current valid UK driver’s licence.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Reasonably fit and able to carry equipment.
