As a Facilities & Equipment Manager within our Serco Rail Technical Services team, you’ll lead the delivery of safe, compliant, and efficient facilities and equipment management across the business. Your work will help ensure our colleagues and customers can operate effectively, reliably, and with confidence.
What you’ll do:
- Lead, develop, and coordinate the activities and strategic direction of facilities and equipment management objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and contractual requirements at all times.
- Oversee the inspection, maintenance, and performance of workplaces, facilities, plant, and equipment.
- Proactively manage supporting contracts, ensuring delivery to agreed time, cost, and quality standards.
- Set, audit, and maintain workplace standards, driving continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with managers and stakeholders to support operational excellence across the business.
- Support health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) activities, including internal audits and compliance reviews.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience managing facilities, equipment, and asset management activities.
- Experience working with contractors and managing contract delivery effectively.
- A strong understanding of health, safety, environment, and quality statutory requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate.
- A solutions‑focused mindset, with the ability to work autonomously, manage ambiguity, and make pragmatic decisions.
