Location: MOD Abbey Wood, Bristol
Working Hours: 40 Hours per week, Monday to Friday, Hours flexible between 7AM and 7PM. On call 1 in 10 weeks
Salary: Up to £36,000 (dependent on experience)

Are you a skilled Electrician looking for a rewarding role where no two days are the same? Do you want to work on mission-critical assets and be part of a dynamic team supporting the UK’s defence infrastructure? VIVO Defence Services is looking for a qualified Electrician to join our team at MOD Abbey Wood, Bristol.

About the role:

Reporting to the Service Manager and working within a team of 8 engineers, you will be performing maintenance tasks such as lighting checks, battery checks and responding to any electrical reactive repairs on commercial buildings such as offices and warehouses. You will work as part of the on-site engineering team and daily tasks will be allocated via tablet device or paper-based task instruction. You will carry out both planned and reactive electrical maintenance, handle minor installation works like refurbishment projects, and ensure compliance with industry regulations, including ensuring all works are JSP375 compliant.

Participation in an on-call rota for emergency repairs outside of core hours will also be required.

What you’ll need:

To succeed in this role, you should hold an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation Work or an equivalent qualification. Additionally, you’ll need a City & Guilds 2382 – 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations certificate. A full, clean UK driving licence is essential, as a company van will be provided for business use. While experience within an MOD or property maintenance environment would be beneficial, it’s not essential. You must also be able to obtain SC Clearance (Security Check).
