Location: Weald, TN17 2PN

Hourly Rate: £13.57 plus excellent benefits

Schedule: Permanent, Part‑Time, 15 hours per week plus additional teaching hours available to make up 40 hours per week. Typical shifts Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm. Typical shifts Saturday & Sunday, 8am-12pm. Shift times are flexible.

About the Role

As a Swimming Coordinator in our Leisure team, you’ll lead and grow the swimming lesson programme, ensuring high-quality delivery while creating positive experiences for customers and the local community.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, manage and develop a team of qualified Swimming Teachers, including recruitment, rotas, performance and development.
  • Coordinate and grow the swimming lessons programme, introducing new sessions and courses to meet community needs.
  • Ensure high‑quality delivery of lessons that encourage retention and repeat participation.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, schools and local partners to support outreach and programme growth.
  • Monitor performance through reporting and KPIs, using insight to improve customer experience and business performance.
  • Support operational delivery, including stepping in to teach lessons where required to maintain service levels.
  • Support with the marketing and promotion of the Swimming Lesson programme.

Qualifications

  • A Swim England Level 2 or STA Level 2 Swim Teacher qualification.
  • Experience managing or supervising teams within a leisure or aquatics environment.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to build trust with customers.
  • Experience delivering or managing swimming lesson programmes and working with high customer volumes.
  • Confidence using IT systems and producing reports, alongside good communication and organisational skills.

Vetting and Checks

An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.
