Cost Management Analyst

Serco is looking for a Cost Management Analyst to join our team, supporting the efficient management of IT purchasing, invoicing, and financial reporting processes.
Hybrid | Full Time, Permanent
Responsibilities
- Support MyTechnology teams with accurate and timely procurement, cost management, and financial reporting for IT services.
- Raise and manage purchase orders on SAP SRM, tracking their full lifecycle from request to payment while maintaining up-to-date cost and allocation records.
- Obtain and manage quotations from suppliers, resolving invoice and payment queries efficiently in collaboration with vendors and internal teams.
- Use SAP ECC/SRM to produce analytical and financial reports, supporting Finance, Delivery, and Standard Services teams in maintaining accurate data.
- Generate and issue customer quotations, ensuring pricing, delivery, and supplier information are current and communicated to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with Asset and Configuration Management to allocate purchased services and maintain accurate vendor and inventory records.
- Store supplier and financial documentation in SharePoint, ensuring compliance with governance standards and timely invoice processing.
- Deliver cost analysis and reconciliation reports, contributing to continuous improvement and upholding Serco’s values and quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a purchasing, finance, or cost management role, ideally within a complex or technical environment.
- Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, and strong data management skills.
- Strong numerical and analytical abilities with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- Experience using SAP SRM / SAP ECC or a similar P2P system.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills at all levels.
- Ability to work methodically, manage priorities effectively, and meet deadlines under pressure.
- A positive, proactive attitude and a commitment to delivering quality service.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and take ownership of tasks to successful completion.
