As a Hairdresser in our Regimes and Activities team, you’ll provide a professional hairdressing and barbering service to residents, helping promote wellbeing, dignity, and confidence in a secure environment.
What You’ll Do as a Hairdresser
- Provide hairdressing and barbering services in line with the agreed daily schedule
- Manage an effective appointment system to meet residents’ needs
- Maintain tools, equipment, and records in line with relevant policies
- Build positive, respectful relationships with residents from all backgrounds
- Report any concerns, including those impacting safety and security
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a consistent, high-quality service

Vetting and Checks
An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role, including spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.
