Ready to impact a better future? As a Casual Chef in our UK Resilience Academy team, you’ll help deliver a high-quality catering service for delegates, guests, colleagues and event attendees. Your work has purpose, ensuring every customer receives safe, well-prepared and enjoyable meals in a professional environment. You’ll play an important role in creating a positive experience for everyone who visits the college. From preparing and presenting food to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene, your contribution helps support learning, events and activities that have a positive impact on communities and the future.

What you’ll do as a Casual Chef:

  • Prepare and cook food to agreed menu specifications, maintaining quality throughout preparation and service.
  • Ensure high standards of food presentation, service, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
  • Support colleagues in managing stock control, stock rotation and portion control to minimise waste.
  • Follow health and safety, food hygiene, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) and company procedures at all times.
  • Cater for special dietary requirements with appropriate care and attention.
  • Assist with stock takes, equipment checks and emergency procedures when required.
