Test and Measuring Equipment & Precision Termination Tool Co‑ordinator (TME & PTT Co‑ordinator) at RAF Brize Norton, Carterton, Oxfordshire, OX18 3LX. Permanent, Full time (37 hours) Monday – Friday (working hours to meet the customer needs). There may be a requirement to cover two weekends a year. Salary £33,000 per annum plus benefits.
At RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, Serco has been providing multi‑activity and engineering support since 1997. Serco proudly supports the RAF and MoD, supplying 19 different services onsite, from engine and aircraft maintenance to fuelling and ground control services. You will contribute enormously to the vital work carried out here.
Responsibilities:
- Delivery of Wiring and Husbandry and Precision Termination Tooling as well as the Calibration of MOD test equipment and the control, maintenance, servicing and supply of Altimeters.
- Ensure that all activities are correctly completed and that records of activities carried out are retained safely and securely.
- Responsible for reporting any condition of the Testing & Measuring Equipment (TME) which could be a hazard to safety.
- Ensuring effective, efficient TME practices are in place and are compliant with statutory regulations and requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all audit activities and findings are acted on.
Qualifications:
- Must have relevant knowledge and experience in the aviation industry, and specifically Precision Termination Tool experience.
- Level 3 Education & Training Qualification is desirable (training can be provided).
- Must be current and competent with respect to Air Safety, Risk Management, Airworthiness, Human Factors and Error Management.
- Must be competent in Microsoft Office packages (Excel & Word).
- Must have exceptional written and oral skills.
