FTC 12 months, Full Time • Hybrid Working - MOD Abbey Wood base location, with travel to Army HQ in Andover, and working from home 2-3 days a week. Salary: £25000 plus excellent benefits.

This role is part of the Armed Forces Recruitment Service (AFRS), delivering end-to-end support from candidate attraction to assessment, onboarding, and Phase 1 training. The team combines integrated technology and specialist partners to modernise and improve the candidate experience. Responsibilities

  • Create, manage, and maintain learning assignments within the Defence Learning Environment (DLE).
  • Upload, test, and maintain online learning content in collaboration with content developers.
  • Manage course bookings, delegate queries, and learning communications.
  • Prepare reports and maintain the learning catalogue to support business insight.
  • Liaise with third-party training providers to coordinate learning delivery.
  • Provide support, troubleshooting, and guidance on DLE usage and improvements.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with a Learning Management System such as the DLE.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.
  • A proactive, adaptable approach in a fast-paced environment.

Vetting and Security

This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance. Depending on the role, formal Security Clearance (e.g., CTC or SC) may be required, which includes detailed background checks. UK residency requirements may apply for certain levels of clearance. An Occupational Health Questionnaire will be completed to identify any support needs for the role.
