What You’ll Do As a Bike Mechanic
Carry out annual services and reactive repairs for the London Cycle Hire fleet, including e-bikes
Perform quality control checks to ensure all bikes meet safety and performance standards
Log work electronically and track part usage accurately
Provide feedback to Operations Managers and the Workshop Team Leaders on trends, issues, and improvements
Support pre-delivery checks for new bikes and decommissioning of old bikes
Maintain compliance with health and safety standards and Serco policies

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:
Experience in a mechanical, engineering, or manufacturing environment
A strong interest in bicycles and their components
Ability to pass a competency test
(Desirable) NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Cycle Maintenance and Repair
A Standard DBS check will be carried out for this position. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands, and warnings as permitted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. An Occupational Health Questionnaire will also be completed so we can ensure you have the necessary support to perform your duties.
