Delivering these services relies on an enthusiastic, customer-focused team, and they're now looking for an Inclusive Sport & Disability Coordinator to join their team and help make a positive difference every day.

As Inclusive Sport & Disability Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in creating opportunities for disabled children, young people and adults to access sport and physical activity in an inclusive and welcoming environment. Supporting programmes such as SEND Boccia, Visual Impairment Boccia and Children's Wheelchair Basketball, you'll help remove barriers to participation, build confidence and create sustainable pathways into sport. Your work has purpose, delivering a positive impact on communities while supporting the legacy and values of inclusive sport.

What you'll do as an Inclusive Sport & Disability Coordinator

  • Coordinate and promote inclusive sports programmes that support participation, accessibility and growth.
  • Plan and deliver engaging SEND Boccia, Visual Impairment Boccia and Children's Wheelchair Basketball sessions.
  • Adapt coaching methods, communication styles and equipment to meet a wide range of participant needs.
  • Build partnerships with schools, colleges, disability organisations, community groups and other stakeholders.
  • Develop participant pathways that encourage progression into regular sport, clubs and competitions.
  • Support programme promotion, collect participation data and help demonstrate positive outcomes for participants.

Does this sound like you?

  • Experience delivering sport or physical activity programmes for disabled children, young people or adults.
  • Experience supporting participants with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), physical disabilities, sensory disabilities, learning disabilities or neurodiversity.
  • An understanding of inclusive coaching principles and participant-centred delivery.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an inclusive and empathetic approach.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively as part of a team.
  • A passion for creating impactful solutions that improve opportunities through sport and physical activity.

Vetting And Checks

An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.
