As a Bookings and Events Administrator, you play a key role in ensuring the smooth running and maximum use of sports and leisure facilities, supporting participation, wellbeing and community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Manage bookings for sports facilities, studios, meeting rooms and event spaces, ensuring systems are accurate and up to date
- Handle enquiries via phone, email, and in person, converting them into confirmed bookings
- Plan and coordinate events (e.g., tournaments, classes, community activities, private hire functions)
- Act as a key point of contact for customers and event organisers, ensuring events run smoothly and resolve issues when needed
- Maintain accurate financial and administrative records, including payments, invoices and reports
- Support marketing and promotion activities to increase bookings, participation and revenue
- Ensure all activities comply with health and safety requirements and operational procedures
Qualifications
- Experience in administration, bookings or event coordination
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills, managing multiple priorities
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Confidence using IT systems, including booking platforms and Microsoft Office
- Proactive, flexible approach with strong attention to detail
- Experience in a sports, leisure or hospitality environment is beneficial
