Salary: Up to £38,000 12 month FTC.
Are you a proactive facilities management professional with a knack for ensuring seamless operations and high standards? Join our team as an Assistant Facilities Manager and play a crucial role in delivering efficient and compliant maintenance services in accordance with statutory and MoD requirements.
In this role, you’ll oversee the daily delivery of maintenance and response activities, monitoring the performance of supply chain teams and ensuring that qualified personnel are assigned to the right tasks with the right tools. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure that all performance indicators are met, and tasks are meticulously documented in the CAFM system.
You’ll be actively involved in risk management, reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements, and supporting a safety-first culture by coordinating safe practices, especially for projects involving Working at Height, Confined Spaces, and Asbestos and Legionella compliance.
Working closely with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) and end-users, you’ll serve as a single point of contact, ensuring quick resolution of any issues, building strong client relationships, and offering technical guidance. You’ll also support Helpdesk requests, assist with complaint resolutions, and manage additional works projects from start to finish.
What You Need To Do The Job:
- To thrive in this role, it would be ideal if you hold a Level 4 Facilities Management Qualification or equivalent technical background, along with hands-on experience in operational Facilities Management roles.
- Familiarity with planned and response maintenance, CAFM systems, and a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement will set you up for success.
- Advanced qualifications in asset management, such as IWFM membership or Institute of Asset Management certifications, will give you an edge but are not essential.
