Location: RAF Lakenheath – on site role
Permanent, Full time
Salary: Competitive + Company car/Car allowance
As Asset Manager, you will play a central role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and optimisation of asset data, lifecycles, and reporting across the VIVO estate. A key responsibility will be the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of accurate Asset Lifecycle Plans for customers, aligned with CIBSE guidelines and embedded within company processes and procedures. You will be instrumental in shaping how asset data is managed, reported, and utilised, ensuring it directly supports long-term service delivery, compliance, and customer value.
You will work closely with the CAFM Support Team to create and refine industry-leading reporting functions, ensuring that asset renewal and enhanced maintenance strategies are captured and communicated effectively. Leveraging your knowledge of asset management principles, you will provide expertise to enhance CAFM systems and processes, improving both the customer experience and the efficiency of internal operations. Acting as the first point of contact for subcontractor surveyors, you will manage the surveying tool (Mobiess) and ensure data integrity, quality assurance, and effective coordination.
Collaboration with technical management teams and projects will be essential, as you provide detailed reports on forward works and lifecycle issues, with an emphasis on business-critical assets. You will also work with the Sales Team, offering insight into new business development, particularly around asset management and lifecycle reporting techniques that strengthen bids and future service offerings.
This is a customer-facing role, requiring the confidence and communication skills to work effectively at all levels. You will deliver training to staff and engineers on CAFM best practice and asset collection tools, as well as supporting mobilisation teams with surveying practice and reporting requirements. A key aspect of your role will be introducing risk-based maintenance strategies to customers, ensuring that asset management decisions are evidence-based, forward-thinking, and aligned with client objectives.
What You\’ll Bring
To succeed, you will bring a blend of technical knowledge and commercial acumen. While a recognised qualification in engineering, building services, management or facilities management is desirable, experience is equally valued, particularly in the management of asset databases and CAFM systems. An understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering, combined with awareness of asset lifecycles and replacement costing, will underpin your ability to make informed decisions. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Power BI, will be essential, as will the ability to produce detailed, accurate reports and analysis.
Equally important are your interpersonal and influencing skills. With a proven track record in client-facing roles, you will be confident working independently as well as collaboratively within wider teams. Financial awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly will allow you to add value across both operational and strategic aspects of asset management.
This role offers the opportunity to shape how VIVO delivers innovative, data-driven asset management solutions, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and exceptional service for our customers.
