Here at Serco, we are looking for an Appian Release Engineer to plan, maintain and ensure the quality and consistency of software releases across a cluster of environments.
This Involves
- Creating and maintaining releases through the sprint lifecycle across the environments.
- To contribute to the improvement and optimization of the Appian Release process in the organisation.
- Ensure project compliance against organisational standards and processes.
- Be an active member of the Appian practise, working with the Scrum team/s to achieve business identified goals.
- Work with the Change Management team and follow the change process to deliver releases seamlessly with minimal risk.
- Prioritising multiple work streams to deliver against the agreed objective.
- Ensure the quality and consistency of the releases and management stakeholder expectations including potential pipeline clashes or risks.
In this key role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining releases across the environments, ensuring compliance with organisational processes and standards.
As Part Of This You’ll
- Responsible for the deployment of code from the development environment through to production.
- To contribute to the improvement and optimisation of the Appian Release process in the organisation.
- Always follow correct release process.
- Identify issues within code and work with Appian Developers to resolve.
- Maintain an accurate release library of code.
- Maintain release documentation.
- Follow and update Change Process artifacts.
- Communicate change to downstream teams such as MI.
- Work closely with service team to ensure they are aware of new changes (KT).
What You’ll Need To Do The Role
- Experience of the Appian Product suite able to demonstration a good understanding of the development tools, objects and relationships.
- Experience of working in an Agile delivery team.
- Can demonstrate the ability to prioritise own workload to deliver targets.
- Experience in troubleshooting and interested in enhancing current skillset.
- Skilful communicator with excellent ability to build relationships at all levels and communicate well within a technical team.
- Role requires a keen eye for detail to ensure release audits are achieved and the Release process is continuously updated and improved.
- Able to successfully work across multiple projects.
- Knowledge and experience of change implementation in a complex environment.
- Experience of working in a fast pace, dynamic and complex environment.
- Demonstrates the ambition to achieve goals/objectives and the discipline, organisation and perseverance to deliver.
