Salary: £33,417.14 per annum inclusive of a 20% shift allowance, plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Full time, permanent. Swing shift Monday to Friday with alternate earlies and lates, including a rostered weekend standby.
As an Airfield Driver in our Airfield Transport Operations team at RAF Brize Norton, you’ll play a vital role in keeping aircraft operations moving safely and efficiently. Your work supports critical Royal Air Force activity, helping ensure people, equipment, and missions are where they need to be — on time and to the highest safety standards.

What You’ll Do As An Airfield Driver
- Operate specialist airfield vehicles you are trained and licensed to drive, ensuring contractual and safety standards are met
- Follow safe working practices at all times, reporting any issues or discrepancies through the management chain
- Complete delegated duties in line with contract requirements and operational procedures
- Undertake non-driving duties such as vehicle cleaning and general care of vehicles and work areas
- Complete mandatory Serco, Defence Learning Environment (DLE), and other required training to maintain competency and currency
- Carry out additional tasks as instructed by the Operations Manager, Shift Supervisor, or deputy

- A full, clean UK driving licence
- Driving licence categories B, C, and C plus E (Category D is desirable but not essential)
- Colour Perception Level CP2 (Ishihara testing available at most opticians)
- A strong commitment to safety, compliance, and teamwork
- An in-date ADR licence (desirable — or a willingness to undertake training)
