As the Redistribution Driver, you will drive across London redistributing Santander Bicycles to increase customer hires and to collect bicycles for service and repair to return to the depots. In addition, you will work with team leaders to manage the active eBikes on the scheme, ensuring these are charged and available to hire for customers. You will also collaborate with Control Centre colleagues to ensure the maximum number of bicycles can be collected and redistributed each shift, minimizing lost time and providing great service for Londoners.
This role is vital to the success of the Cycle Hire Scheme, and we are looking for candidates who take great pride in their work and are committed to being the best ambassadors for the Cycle Hire Service. Our Redistribution Drivers directly contribute to making London a greener place to live and visit and are responsible for ensuring our bikes are safe for all to use, so it is important that you take that responsibility seriously and are a considerate and courteous driver.
To be considered for this position, you will have excellent customer service skills, experience driving around the London area, and a full UK Manual driving licence that you have held for at least 1 year. A driving assessment will take place if you pass your interview.
At times, we may ask you to assist our On Street Mobile Operative teams with on foot and bicycle patrols to collect and return abandoned bikes, so flexibility and willingness to undertake additional duties are preferred.
Please note, this position is subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
