What you'll be doing:

  • Leading the day-to-day operation of the Lambeth Maintenance Workshop, ensuring our fleet maintenance services are safe, compliant, cost-effective and high performing.
  • Leading and developing a high-performing workshop team through coaching, mentoring and clear leadership.
  • Driving workshop performance across key operational metrics including VOR reduction, MOT compliance and service delivery KPIs.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and compliance across all workshop activities.
  • Managing workshop budgets effectively while identifying opportunities for efficiencies and continuous improvement.
  • Building strong working relationships with internal customers, operational stakeholders and external partners.
  • Implementing and improving workshop processes to enhance productivity, quality and service reliability.
  • Creating a positive, engaged and accountable workshop culture.

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience managing fleet maintenance operations or vehicle workshops.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience motivating and developing teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of workshop health and safety standards and compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing large or complex vehicle fleets.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • The confidence to influence stakeholders and build trusted working relationships.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
