West Midlands based with regular travel across the Midlands and East of England regions
Salary: £38,000 per annum plus company car and excellent benefits
Schedule: Full-time – 37.5 hours per week

Ready to impact a better future? As a Portfolio Manager in our Justice and Immigration team, you'll play a vital role in managing and optimising a regional property portfolio. You'll ensure properties meet quality standards while delivering value for money, supporting both operational success and positive outcomes for the communities we serve.

In this role, your work will directly contribute to maintaining safe, compliant, and sustainable accommodation. By improving property performance, strengthening landlord relationships, and identifying opportunities for growth, you'll help create impactful solutions that support people and communities across the Midlands and East of England.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a high-quality property portfolio, ensuring it remains sustainable and fit for purpose
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to actively manage, improve, and refresh the portfolio
  • Negotiate rental agreements, lease terms, and property improvements with landlords and investors
  • Monitor property compliance with regulatory and statutory standards, ensuring all requirements are met
  • Analyse property performance data and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and utilisation
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, agents, and partners to support retention and growth

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of residential property legislation, including the Housing Act 2004 and Homes Act 2018
  • Experience working within the private rented sector, with an understanding of market trends
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build trust
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience interpreting data and producing meaningful reports
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach and the ability to manage workload in a fast-paced environment

Vetting and Checks

This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, which involves verifying your identity, employment history, nationality, and criminal record to meet government security standards. Additionally, depending on the nature of the role, you may need to obtain formal Security Clearance (such as CTC or SC), which includes more detailed background checks on employment, criminal record, and financial history to ensure suitability for working in secure environments. Please note that UK residency requirements may apply for certain levels of clearance. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire so we can identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively.
