As an Operations Assistant in our Citizen Services team, you’ll help create a safe, welcoming and well‑run environment where customers can enjoy high‑quality leisure services. From day‑to‑day operations to customer care, your work will have a positive impact on the communities we serve. This is a hands‑on role where no two days are the same. You’ll play a key part in keeping the centre running smoothly, supporting planned activities, and making sure every customer feels safe, supported and valued.
What you’ll do as an Operations Assistant:
- Ensure customer safety at all times by preventing accidents and responding appropriately to incidents
- Supervise dry‑side activities, maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness and customer care
- Set up and handle equipment safely to support programmed activities
- Carry out cleaning tasks and monitor cleanliness in customer‑critical areas such as changing rooms, health suite and toilets
- Monitor customer behaviour within the centre, addressing unsafe practices promptly and professionally
- Deliver consistently high levels of customer service and maintain strong knowledge of the centre’s services and activities
