As an Operations Support Officer in our Leisure team, you'll play a key role in keeping a busy, multi-use sports and conferencing facility running safely, smoothly, and efficiently. Your work will directly support colleagues, visitors, and the wider community to enjoy a high-quality environment every day. In this varied, hands‑on role, you'll help create a welcoming, safe and engaging space where people can train, compete and connect. From supporting daily operations and compliance to helping deliver events and maintain facilities, your contribution will have a positive impact on both customer experience and community wellbeing.
What you’ll do as an Operations Support Officer
- Support the day‑to‑day running of the facility, ensuring a safe, clean and well‑maintained environment
- Open and close buildings, monitor site security, and respond to incidents or emergencies
- Carry out compliance checks and support health and safety standards in line with company procedures
- Assist with event and activity setups, including physical tasks such as moving equipment and preparing spaces
- Transport colleagues and carry out off‑site duties using company vehicles
- Support Duty Managers and cover shifts when required, including weekends and nights
