Schedule: Flexible working pattern required, including weekends and late evenings. Most events take place on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
As a Deputy Hospitality Manager in our Citizen Services team, you'll help deliver memorable hospitality experiences across weddings, private parties, conferences and bar operations. Supporting the Hospitality Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring every event runs smoothly while maintaining excellent standards of service and customer care. Based at the newly refurbished Lilleshall National Sports Centre, you'll help create experiences that bring people together to celebrate, connect and achieve their goals. Your work will have a positive impact on customers, colleagues and the local community, helping us build trust, deliver quality experiences and impact a better future.
What you'll do as a Deputy Hospitality Manager:
- Support the Hospitality Manager with the planning, preparation and delivery of weddings, conferences, private parties and restaurant bookings
- Lead hospitality operations during events, ensuring exceptional customer service and smooth event execution
- Step up to manage operations in the absence of the Hospitality Manager
- Support recruitment activities, including interviewing prospective team members
- Manage bar stock ordering and help maintain effective stock control processes
- Ensure hospitality areas are presented to a high standard, supporting cleaning and operational readiness activities

- Essential experience working within bar operations
- Computer literate with the ability to use operational and administrative systems
- A Level 2 Food Safety qualification is desirable
- Flexible and willing to work evenings, weekends and late-night events
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to remain resilient under pressure
- Eager to learn new skills and support continuous improvement
