As a Café Assistant, you'll help create a welcoming environment where visitors can relax, refuel and enjoy their time at the centre. By delivering excellent customer service, maintaining high food hygiene standards and supporting the day-to-day operation of the café, you'll play an important role in creating positive experiences and supporting healthier, happier communities.
What you'll do as a Café Assistant:
- Carry out cleaning duties to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the café area
- Undertake and record temperature checks to support food hygiene compliance
- Serve customers promptly, professionally and with a friendly approach
- Follow financial and cash handling procedures accurately
- Prepare food and beverages in line with café menus and supervisor guidance
- Replenish café and vending machine stock as required

- A Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering (or equivalent) is desirable, although full training will be provided
