Are you looking to gain your Swimming Teacher Qualification? At Serco, we're pleased to be recruiting on behalf of Leisure Solutions Community Trust. Delivering these services relies on an enthusiastic, customer-focused team, and they're now looking for a new cohort of Swimming Teachers to grow our programmes. If you are passionate about ensuring all children and adults have access to affordable lessons no matter their ability or background, this role could be right for you.

Please note: This position is to gain an STA Level 2 Swim teaching qualification and you do not need to hold any qualifications to apply for this.

Our next training course will be taking place at Tunbridge Leisure Centre, and you must be available between 10am to 6pm for all of these dates: 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 27th, 28th, 29th and 31st July.

By following the tried and tested Swim England learn to swim framework, we develop the confidence in all of our swimmers through fun and enjoyable lessons. Many of our swimmers have progressed to swim competitively and even to represent our country.

Teaching our swimming lessons will see you delivering safe, fun and progressive lessons, but this is also a mentality we take towards our teachers' careers and personal development. We want you to feel safe in your employment, so we will contract you for as little or many teaching hours as you want around your current commitments.

Paying for your own safeguarding and DBS checks aren't fun or cheap, so we provide these for you! There's also no need to hold your own personal insurance as you will be covered by ours. Working for us will enable you to work within all our leisure centres as well as giving you excellent personal and career development through continued training and learning opportunities.

What you'll need to do the role:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to serve and support people of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Passion about swimming and the service they deliver.
  • Motivational and organisational skills to deliver safe, fun and progressive lessons.
  • Willingness to complete a NRASTC lite qualification, a DBS, and have access to a computer or tablet to complete work on the course.
