Full time – 37.5 hours per week. Salary up to £30,000 depending on experience & skills plus Serco benefits. Full UK driving licence required. Vehicle and tools provided.

Role Overview

Assists with the repair and maintenance of Asylum Accommodation properties, ensuring all reactive and planned work meets required standards and SLA deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute maintenance tasks across the Wigan area, including joinery, fitting, plumbing, painting & decorating.
  • Operate within flexible working hours (Mon‑Fri 08:00‑18:00) and travel within the region; perform occasional UK travel.
  • Manage vehicle inspections and maintain a neat, professional condition.
  • Purchase and manage materials using company account cards from approved suppliers.
  • Ensure health & safety compliance for self and property users during and after works.
  • Participate in on‑call duties on a rota basis, covering emergencies once every 8–10 weeks.

Requirements

  • Previous maintenance experience in joinery, fitting, plumbing, painting or decorating.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the region and occasionally across the UK.
  • Ability to manage workflow independently and collaborate as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintain health & safety standards and documented vehicle inspections.
