Salary: £25,272 plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Permanent, Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day starting between 7am and 9am and finishing no later than 8pm. Flexibility required to provide ad hoc cover for weekends (shift times same as Mon‑Fri) with increased pay for weekend shifts.
About the Role: As a Retail Catering Assistant in our Health team, you'll support the delivery of high‑quality food and retail services that enhance the experience of patients, visitors, and colleagues. You’ll play a part in supporting wellbeing and recovery while contributing to a service that communities rely on every day.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver a courteous and efficient catering service to patients, visitors, and colleagues
- Prepare and serve food and drinks to agreed standards, ensuring quality and presentation
- Operate tills and handle cash safely and accurately
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment, work areas, and dining spaces in line with hygiene standards
- Follow food safety, allergen awareness, and health & safety procedures at all times
- Correct use of all equipment and materials associated with tasks and report any faults to a supervisor
- Assist with retail promotions to maximise revenue opportunity
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service skills and a passion for delivering a positive experience
- Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions
- Good understanding of hygiene standards and health & safety
- Flexibility towards a change in routines and shifts
Vetting and Checks: As well as checking eligibility to work in the UK, you will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to help us identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively.
