As a Motivational Trainer in our Employment, Skills and Training team, you will deliver high-energy, engaging programmes that help people reconnect with the world of work, build confidence and take meaningful steps towards sustainable employment. This is a role with real purpose. You will support individuals who may be facing significant barriers to work, including young people and those who are currently not in employment, education or training. Through creative, inclusive delivery, your work will help build self-belief, motivation and essential employability skills - creating a positive impact on individuals, families and communities across South Wales.
Please note this role is subject to contract award.
What you will do as a Motivational Trainer
- Deliver engaging, high energy motivational workshops and one to one interventions that build confidence, resilience and readiness for work
- Use creative and innovative delivery techniques to engage learners with diverse needs, including those who may have become disengaged from education or employment
- Embed motivation, goal setting and growth mindset approaches across programmes to ensure a consistent and positive learner experience
- Work closely with Employment Coaches and Trainers to co-create personalised development plans and support sustained progression outcomes
- Identify barriers to participation and motivation, putting timely strategies in place to re-engage learners
- Use learner feedback and performance data to measure impact and continuously improve delivery
Does this sound like you? You will be a great fit for this role if you have:
- A minimum Level 3 Award in Education and Training, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience delivering employability, training or motivational programmes, ideally within welfare to work or skills environments
- Strong facilitation skills with the ability to engage and motivate groups both face to face and online
- High levels of empathy and emotional intelligence, with an inclusive, learner centred approach
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to build trust and inspire confidence
- Welsh speaking is desirable
Vetting and checks: An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.
