Working hours: 37 per week, Monday to Thursday 09:15 to 17:15, Friday 09:30 to 17:00 / Monday to Thursday 06:00 to 14:00, Friday 06:00 to 13:30 to alternate each week.
Ready to make an impact? As a Machine Driver/Operative in our Sandwell team you'll manage the acceptance of waste, control the traffic flow around site and load waste onto artic lorries using shovel loaders in a safe and timely manner.
You'll be entrusted to:
- Carry out the loading of all waste materials in and out of the site
- Assist with the traffic direction and efficient movement of vehicles on site whilst ensuring a safe working environment
- Responsible for the daily inspection, general maintenance and reporting procedure of all plant and vehicles prior to and on completion of usage
- Understand Serco Contractual requirements – of refuse & recycling.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the Eagle Recovery and Transfer Hub site – the building, plant, equipment, vehicle wash and general site area
