Overview

Basingstoke & Deane Community Leisure Trust – Job Title: Lifeguard. Location: Basingstoke Aquadrome. Working Hours/Pattern: 37 hours, between Monday to Sunday, mixture of earlies and lates. Salary: £11.26 to £12.77 per hour + Excellent benefits.

As a Lifeguard you’ll be an important part of life here at the centre as you ensure that everyone can use the pool in safety and that they have access to everything they need to enjoy their visit.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer care to people of all ages and supervise activities in the pool area.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the pool area.
• Ensure the safe handling and setup of pool equipment.
• Assist with lifesaving as required.
• Work as part of a close-knit, supportive team to deliver an inclusive leisure hub for the community.

What you\’ll need to do the role

• Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with customers of all ages and backgrounds.
• Safety conscious, vigilant, and able to handle pressurised situations.
• Strong swimming skills.
• Essential: National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (Royal Life Saving Society).
• Due to the full-time nature, candidates must be 18 years or older.
