Overview: Serco Limited — Location: Haywards Heath, RH16 1UA. Full Time: 39 hours per week. Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 7am – 3.30pm and Friday 7am – 2.30pm. Salary: £34,991/£17.25 per hour + benefits.
Keep your streets clean and your community proud. Join our Haywards Heath team as an HGV Refuse and Recycling Driver and play a vital role in keeping your community clean, safe, and sustainable. You’ll deliver a full waste and recycling service to local residents and businesses, working alongside a professional and friendly team to maintain high standards and provide excellent customer service every step of the way.
Responsibilities:
- Complete a pre-planned route as the driver, with your team of loaders, collecting waste and recycling from residential homes and commercial properties.
- Be the public face of Serco in the community.
- Ensure that vehicle safety checks are completed and that the truck is clean and work-ready before starting the round.
- Work alongside loaders to stay active and help get tasks done quickly and efficiently.
Requirements:
- Hold a valid Class 1 or 2 driving licence and a Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
- Physically fit and healthy (essential due to the nature of the work).
- A dedicated, friendly and professional team player.
- Willing to go the extra mile on rounds to help the team hit targets.
