As a Grounds Maintenance Operative in our Birmingham Community Leisure Trust, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining exceptional grounds and sports surfaces at Alexander Stadium helping create an environment where people can train, compete, and thrive. Your work will have a direct impact on the quality, safety, and performance of world‑class facilities. From maintaining elite playing surfaces to supporting events, you’ll help create spaces that bring communities together and support wellbeing, performance, and pride in the environment.

What you’ll do as a Grounds Maintenance Operative:

  • Deliver high‑quality grounds maintenance to the highest standards across the site
  • Carry out tasks such as mowing, shrubbery, weed maintenance, litter picking and other general maintenance around the grounds
  • Operate machinery including tractors and specialist equipment safely and effectively
  • Ensure all work meets health and safety, environmental, and compliance standards
  • Support match day and event operations as required
  • Monitor grounds performance and identify opportunities for improvement
