As a Site FM Manager in our Defence team, you will lead the delivery of facilities management services that keep a complex and critical site running safely, smoothly and compliantly. Your work will have a direct positive impact on the people who rely on the site every day. You will create impactful solutions that support the future of the Skynet Contract, helping ensure the site stays safe, resilient, and compliant. Through your leadership, you will enable colleagues to deliver great outcomes, strengthening the service we provide and supporting a positive impact on communities.
What you will do as a Site FM Manager:
- Direct, coordinate and plan hard and soft FM services, including planned and reactive maintenance across key infrastructure assets.
- Represent Serco within the Skynet Contract in line with the Serco Management System, engaging confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain a proactive approach to statutory compliance, SLAs, safety standards and continuous improvement.
- Act as an Authorised Person for electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring safe systems of work under MOD JSP375.
- Develop and manage budgets for site operations, maintenance and capital projects.
- Serve as the appointed Site Fire Officer and Responsible Person for Legionella and Asbestos.

- Electrical or mechanical engineering experience, or equivalent.
- Managerial / supervisory experience desirable.
- A valid UK driving licence.
- Strong IT skills, including MS Office.
- Security Clearance (SC) or the ability to obtain it.
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of health and safety.
- Experience working within a Ministry of Defence environment desirable.
This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, which involves verifying your identity, employment history, nationality, and criminal record to meet government security standards. In addition, depending on the nature of the role, you may need to obtain formal Security Clearance (such as CTC or SC), which includes more detailed background checks on employment, criminal record, and financial history to ensure suitability for working in secure environments. Please note that UK residency requirements may apply for certain levels of clearance. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire so we can identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively.
