Here at Serco, we are seeking a Buyer to join our Soft FM (Facilities Management) Procurement team. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career in a global business that makes a genuine impact every day. You\’ll play a key role in delivering value across Serco\’s Soft FM procurement portfolio.

As part of this you\’ll:

  • Lead and manage tactical procurement projects (up to £250k), ensuring compliance with sourcing processes and governance.
  • Support Category Managers on larger procurement projects, contributing to sourcing strategy and contract execution.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across our business units to capture requirements and develop effective RFx (Request for Proposal) documentation.
  • Conduct market research, source new suppliers, and manage supplier engagement from RFx through to contract award.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms using Serco\’s Legal Empowerment Toolkit, and support drafting and signing of contracts.
  • Optimise supplier performance, drive value for money, and support delivery of measurable procurement benefits.

What you\’ll need to do the role:

  • At least 2 years\’ experience in a sourcing or procurement role, ideally within facilities management or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of sourcing processes, supplier negotiations, and contract lifecycle management.
  • Experience using eSourcing tools and Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Power BI experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach with great attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
