As a Cleaner in our Bletchley Leisure Centre, you'll play a key part in creating a safe, welcoming, and cared for environment for everyone who uses our facilities. Your work will help ensure our community spaces are clean, safe, and ready for people to enjoy every day. You’ll make a positive impact by maintaining high cleaning standards across the building, supporting safety, and contributing to an environment where colleagues, visitors, and customers can thrive.
What you’ll do as a Cleaner:
- Maintain a consistently high standard of cleaning throughout the building.
- Ensure safe handling and use of chemicals, in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) assessments.
- Carry out cleaning tasks safely, using appropriate signage and ensuring equipment is stored securely.
- Follow all cleaning schedules and complete required checklists.
- Report issues, defects, or areas needing attention to the Duty Manager.
- Monitor stock levels and advise the line manager when replenishment is needed.
- Inspect equipment prior to use and ensure safe operation.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly and maintain it in good condition.
- Provide helpful customer guidance by building an understanding of the facility and its activities.
- Apply good housekeeping principles to support energy efficiency and reduce carbon impact.
