Location: AASC – Blackburn

Full time – 37.5 hours per week.

Salary – £27,500 – £33,500 depending on experience & skills, plus Serco benefits.

Full UK driving licence must be held. Vehicle and tools provided.

As the Maintenance Operative your role is key in ensuring all requested repairs, be that reactive or proactive and pre planned (via manager), are carried out to the required standard and within our SLA deadlines.

You will require prior maintenance experience in fields relating to joinery, fitting, plumbing, painting & decorating. You will be a highly motivated individual who can manage your own workflow as well as work within a team when necessary.

As a Maintenance Operative you will be responsible for the Health & Safety of yourself and that of all users of the property during, and after works have been undertaken and completed.

As part of your role, you will purchase and manage materials using a company account card from approved Serco suppliers only. Vehicles provided by the company will be inspected regularly and kept in a professional and clean condition.

Flexible Working pattern: Mon to Fri 7.5 hours per day between 08:00 and 18:00 to meet the operational needs of the business.

On-Call Requirements & Out of Hours Working: Requirement to undertake out of hours on call duties, working on a rota basis, to provide 24/7 emergency cover. This will be carried out once every 8-10 weeks for emergencies.

What you need to do the job:

You will need a willingness and ability to travel within the region and occasionally within the UK. A valid UK driver’s licence is essential. All offers of employment are subject to security clearance checks and approval by the Home Office.
