As a Resourcer in our Restart Employment, Skills and Training team, you’ll play a crucial role in connecting people with meaningful job and training opportunities that help them move forward with confidence. Your work will directly support individuals in building skills, securing work, and creating positive, lasting change in their lives. Working closely with Strategic Account Managers and Account Managers, you’ll focus on understanding both candidate potential and employer expectations. By matching people to the right opportunities at the right time, you’ll help strengthen communities, improve employment outcomes, and support Serco’s purpose of creating impactful solutions that benefit society.

Responsibilities

  • Screen candidates and learners for job roles and training opportunities, ensuring alignment with employer requirements
  • Provide feedback, advice and guidance to help candidates prepare for interviews, training, and workplace expectations
  • Collaborate with Strategic Account Managers and Account Managers to understand opportunity requirements and fulfil demand
  • Build strong relationships with candidates and internal stakeholders to maintain engagement throughout the recruitment journey
  • Accurately record activity and outcomes within CRM systems, tracking progress and key performance indicators
  • Identify opportunities to improve screening processes using feedback, data insights and industry awareness

Qualifications

  • Experience in recruitment, resourcing, talent acquisition or candidate screening, ideally in a fast‑paced or employability environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging and supporting a wide range of people
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage high volumes of activity to tight timescales
  • A collaborative mindset, with strong attention to detail and a focus on quality outcomes
  • Confidence using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint

Vetting and checks

This role requires BPSS clearance, which involves identity verification, employment history, and criminal record checks to meet government security standards. An Occupational Health Questionnaire will also be required to ensure we can offer appropriate support for your wellbeing and performance.
