Hourly Rate: Β£18.28 per hour plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Permanent, Casual hours, 2-4 hours per week across 7 days between 9am and 9pm

As a Children's Racquets Sports Coach, you'll help young people develop their basketball skills, confidence and teamwork in a fun, safe and inclusive environment. Through engaging coaching sessions and positive role modelling, you'll support children to enjoy being active, achieve their potential and build a lifelong connection with sport. Our work touches lives, and your work has purpose by creating a positive impact on communities and helping to impact a better future for the next generation.
What you'll do as a Children's Racquets Sports Coach
- Deliver engaging, age-appropriate coaching sessions across tennis, pickleball, table tennis and other racquet sports as required.
- Plan and deliver progressive coaching programmes that support skill development and physical literacy.
- Create a fun, safe and inclusive environment where children can learn, grow and enjoy sport.
- Adapt coaching activities to meet different ages, abilities and individual needs.
- Monitor participant progress and provide constructive feedback where appropriate.
- Support programme growth through events, taster sessions, school engagement and community initiatives.
- Build positive relationships with participants, parents, guardians and colleagues.
- Ensure high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and participant wellbeing are maintained at all times.
Does this sound like you?
- Hold a recognised National Governing Body coaching qualification in at least one racquet sport, such as tennis, pickleball or table tennis (or working towards).
- Have experience coaching children and young people.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have a good understanding of safeguarding principles, child protection practices and health and safety requirements.
- Can motivate and engage participants of different ages and abilities.
- Hold a current Emergency First Aid qualification or be willing to obtain one.
- Are enthusiastic about helping young people develop confidence, skills and a lifelong enjoyment of sport.

Vetting and checks
An Enhanced Access NI check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.
