As an Operations Support Officer in our Leisure team, you'll play a key role in keeping a busy, multi-use sports and conferencing facility running safely, smoothly, and efficiently. Your work will directly support colleagues, visitors, and the wider community to enjoy a high-quality environment every day. In this varied, hands-on role, you'll help create a welcoming, safe and engaging space where people can train, compete and connect. From supporting daily operations and compliance to helping deliver events and maintain facilities, your contribution will have a positive impact on both customer experience and community wellbeing.
What you'll do as an Operations Support Officer:
- Support the day-to-day running of the facility, ensuring a safe, clean and well-maintained environment
- Open and close buildings, monitor site security, and respond to incidents or emergencies
- Carry out compliance checks and support health and safety standards in line with company procedures
- Assist with event and activity setups, including physical tasks such as moving equipment and preparing spaces
- Transport colleagues and carry out offsite duties using company vehicles
- Support Duty Managers and cover shifts when required, including weekends and nights

- Experience in a supervisory or operational role within a leisure, hospitality or similar environment
- A good understanding of health and safety legislation and its practical application
- Strong communication and customer care skills, with confidence working with a wide range of people
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergency situations
- A full, clean UK driving licence and confidence driving company vehicles
