Schedule: Full-time, 39 hours per week, Monday to Sunday, shift times switch between early, lates and weekends.

To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team - and right now we are looking to recruit for a Duty Manager to join our Team.
As a Duty Manager in our Leisure team, you will be responsible for Health, Safety and Quality, Commercial, and Operations. You'll lead day-to-day operations at the facility, ensuring every visit is safe, smooth and enjoyable while supporting your team to deliver excellent service. You'll play a key role in creating a positive, welcoming environment where communities can stay active and connected.
What you'll do as a Duty Manager:
- Lead on Health, Safety and Quality, ensuring full compliance with legislation, maintaining safe systems of work, and taking control during incidents and emergencies.
- Drive Commercial performance, supporting sales activity, improving member retention and ensuring excellent customer service standards across the facility.
- Oversee Operations, including opening and closing the centre, managing rotas and ensuring the smooth delivery of all daily programmes.
- Monitor the facility throughout the day, proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety and presentation.
- Lead, coach and develop colleagues, ensuring they are well-trained, engaged and delivering consistently high performance.
- Act as a visible leader on site, building trust with customers and responding positively to feedback, queries and community needs.

- Proven experience supervising or managing teams within a leisure, hospitality or operational environment.
- A strong understanding of health and safety practices, with the confidence to take the lead in high-pressure or emergency situations.
- Commercial awareness with experience supporting sales, customer engagement or service improvement initiatives.
- The ability to organise, prioritise and manage multiple operational demands effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to build trust and motivate others.
- A proactive, hands-on approach, with pride in maintaining high standards and delivering a great customer experience.
Desirable Qualifications:
- First Aid at Work and Pool Plant Operators qualification (PPO).
Essential Qualifications:
- National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).
Vetting and checks: An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.
