Delivering these services relies on an enthusiastic, customer-focused team, and they're now looking for a Lifeguard to join their team and help make a positive difference every day. As a Lifeguard you'll be an important part of life here at the centre as you ensure that everyone can use the pool in safety and that they have access to everything they need to enjoy their visit. Without you there can't be any pool activity. But you won't be working alone. Our leisure centre has a close knit and supportive team, all working towards providing an inclusive leisure hub for the entire community.
You will also receive fantastic training and development opportunities and benefits including free leisure access and other various discounts.
What you'll need to do the role:
- Excellent customer service skills as you'll be interacting heavily with our customers.
- Providing customer care to people of all ages.
- Supervising activities and maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the pool area.
- Ensuring the safe handling and set up of pool equipment.
- Being safety conscious, vigilant, and able to deal with pressurised situations.
- Strong swimming skills and holding a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (Royal Life Saving Society). A Lifeguard course will be held in October half term to gain this qualification.
