Location: Leys Pool & Leisure, Oxford, OX4 6JL

Hourly Rate: 14.06 plus excellent benefits

Schedule: Permanent, Part-time, 16 hours per week, Tuesday & Wednesday 3pm to 8pm, Saturday 9.30am to 3.30pm. Additional PT Level 3 hours are available.

As a Fitness Instructor, you'll inspire people to achieve their health and fitness goals while helping create a welcoming, community-focused environment where everyone can thrive. What you'll do as a Fitness Instructor:

  • Deliver health and fitness programmes, coaching members on structured exercise plans tailored to their goals
  • Track member progress, monitor attendance and exercise activity, and provide ongoing motivation and support
  • Carry out health and fitness assessments, including body composition, cardiovascular and strength-based evaluations
  • Welcome and onboard new members, helping them identify the most suitable programmes, services and activities
  • Deliver group fitness, small group training and personal training sessions while maintaining high coaching standards
  • Promote a safe, clean and inclusive gym environment and provide excellent customer service to all visitors
  • Take part in ongoing learning and development opportunities to support your career progression and professional growth

Does this sound like you?

  • Hold a Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification
  • Hold a Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification, or be willing to work towards this within your first 12 months of employment
  • Level 3 GP Referral qualification is desirable
  • Have a strong understanding of health and fitness principles and experience supporting clients through structured programmes
  • Enjoy building trust with people and motivating them to achieve their goals
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and a commitment to creating a positive and inclusive experience for members
  • Group training qualifications such as circuits, indoor cycling or high-intensity interval training (HIIT) are desirable, but full training will be provided

An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
