Location: Based at Birmingham Community Leisure Trust, Northfield, B31 2PD, covering another 10 sites within the Birmingham area.
Salary: up to 28,000 plus excellent benefits - van and tools provided.
Schedule: Full time 40 hours a week working Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm, there may be a requirement to work some weekends and bank holidays depending on the needs of the business.

As a Painter and Decorator in our Leisure team, you'll help maintain welcoming, safe and high quality leisure facilities for the communities we serve. Your work will contribute directly to creating clean, warm and inviting spaces that support wellbeing, activity and connection. You'll play a key part in ensuring our buildings remain in great condition, using your technical skills to deliver high quality finishes across our estate. Your work will support positive experiences for local people, helping us create environments they can trust and take pride in.
What you'll do as a Painter and Decorator
- Carry out planned and periodic maintenance, redecorating internal and external finishes across the estate.
- Prepare and finish a wide range of surfaces to a high standard using recognised methods and specifications.
- Determine and request required materials, tools and supplies following financial processes.
- Coordinate with technical supervisors, operational colleagues and bookings teams to plan work effectively.
- Maintain safe working practices at all times, following COSHH and health and safety regulations.
- Keep workspaces clean and reinstate areas on completion, including completing reactive maintenance where needed.

- Experience working with a range of decorative finishes and materials.
- Experience in building maintenance tasks.
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in decorating.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
- A full UK driving licence, as travel between sites is required.
