What you’ll need:

  • Aircraft Experience and Certification
    • A minimum of 6 years working in an airworthiness environment, including at least 2 years of hands‑on experience.
    • Formal training on the Wildcat aircraft and its associated trade systems.
    • Hold, or be eligible to hold, a Certificate of Competency at Supervisory Level.
  • Technical Knowledge
    • Strong working knowledge of Wildcat aircraft engineering, systems (by trade), servicing procedures, and support equipment.
    • Good understanding of Naval Air Publications and CIETP (Compound Interactive Electronic Technical Publications).
  • Safety, Quality and Compliance

  • Maintenance and Engineering Systems
    • Familiarity with engineering and asset management systems.
    • Completed, or willing to complete, Maintenance Human Factors training.
    • Awareness of Lean Operating Procedures.
  • Understanding of rotary‑wing military aviation procedures and operational standards.

We’re looking for team players who work efficiently under pressure, using initiative and drive to meet tight operational deadlines.

You must be able to obtain SC (Security Check) clearance.

What we offer:

  • Salary: Competitive salary with annual reviews
  • Pension: Up to 6% contributory pension scheme
  • Holidays: 28 days' annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Training and development: We offer a wide range of learning opportunities with over 1,100 internal courses available, funding for qualifications and apprenticeships, mentoring opportunities, and a focus on internal progression
  • Wellbeing: 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme, BUPA Anytime HealthLine, wellbeing app, Simplyhealth cash plans to claim back money towards healthcare costs, 30% off at Serco-managed leisure centres

“You have to be adaptable, interested in your job, and 100% focused on safety; these aircraft can fly 10,000 feet, they have people on board, and they’ve got families. I enjoy coming to work and using my experience to do something meaningful. The team spirit, the shared experience – it makes it all worthwhile.”
