Location: Lilleshall National Sports Centre, Near TF10 9AT

Salary: 26,557.55 per annum plus excellent benefits

Schedule: Full-time, 39 hours per week, Wednesday to Saturday 08:30 to 17:00, Sunday 08:30 to 16:00

As an Operations Support Officer, you'll play an important role in keeping a busy sports and conferencing facility running safely, smoothly and efficiently. Your work has purpose, helping colleagues, visitors and community groups enjoy high-quality facilities while supporting a positive impact on communities.

In this varied role, you'll support daily operations, compliance activities, events and site presentation. By helping create a safe, welcoming and well-maintained environment, you'll contribute to healthier lifestyles and help impact a better future for everyone who uses the facility.

What you’ll do as an Operations Support Officer:

  • Support the day-to-day operation of the facility, ensuring a safe, clean and well-maintained environment
  • Open and close buildings, monitor site security and respond to incidents or emergencies when required
  • Carry out compliance checks and support health and safety standards in line with policies and procedures
  • Assist with event and activity set-ups, including preparing spaces and moving equipment as needed
  • Transport colleagues and carry out off-site duties using company vehicles
  • Support Duty Managers and provide operational cover when required, including weekends and nights

Does this sound like you?

  • Experience in a supervisory or operational role within leisure, hospitality or a similar environment
  • A good understanding of health and safety requirements and their practical application
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build trust with a wide range of people
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergency situations
  • A full, clean UK driving licence and confidence driving company vehicles
