b Overview /b p In this role, you will maintain and improve secure enterprise networks across LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi and cloud environments. You’ll collaborate with Operations, Security and IT teams to troubleshoot incidents, deploy service improvements and contribute to the network roadmap. The position supports multi-site environments across the UK, Europe and partner locations, balancing hands-on engineering with stakeholder management. You’ll work on reducing risk and improving performance to enable resilient, secure connectivity for the business. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li Flexible working /li li Pension – 6% /li li Diversity and inclusion /li li Employee discounts (cinema, Merlin, mobile plans) /li li Health and wellbeing support /li li Career development and training /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Maintain and operate secure enterprise network services across LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, Wi‑Fi and cloud environments /li li Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve network incidents to ensure availability, performance and security /li li Support network deployments and service improvements with internal teams and third‑party partners /li li Collaborate with Operations, Service Management, Engineering, Security and divisional IT teams to implement effective solutions /li li Contribute to technical designs, documentation and transition of new or enhanced network services /li li Assist with management of network suppliers and third parties to meet standards /li li Stay updated with emerging network technologies and best practices to improve resilience and security /li li Travel to Serco sites and partner locations as required to support multi-site networks /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li At least 2 years’ experience in network engineering or network support in enterprise environments /li li Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN and Wi-Fi including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and switching /li li Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting using management tools /li li Working knowledge of cloud networking (AWS or Azure) /li li Experience with enterprise networking and security technologies (Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto or equivalents) /li li Understanding of network security principles (firewalls, secure access, segmentation, zero-trust) /li li Ability to interpret network architecture diagrams, HLDs and LLDs /li li Strong communication and stakeholder management skills /li li Customer-focused, analytical and problem-solving mindset /li li Desirable: technical qualifications like CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Azure Fundamentals; SC clearance required; willingness to travel /li /ul ul li Communication /li li Stakeholder management /li li Collaboration /li li LAN/WAN/SD-WAN /li li VPN /li li Wi‑Fi /li /ul
