Overview
In this Contract Manager role, you’ll lead the environmental services contract across Charnwood to ensure safe, efficient delivery of waste, recycling and street cleansing. You’ll steer operational performance, people leadership and financial accountability while driving continuous improvement. You’ll collaborate with local authorities, unions and partners to uphold high service standards and safety culture. Responsibilities
- Oversee overall contract performance to ensure safety, efficiency and contractual compliance
- Provide leadership to operations and supervisory teams to foster high performance and a culture of trust and innovation
- Manage financial performance, budgets, resources, fleet operations and commercial outcomes
- Build and maintain relationships with local authorities, unions, partners and community representatives
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation and strategic development to meet future service challenges
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and legislative requirements and promote a positive safety culture
Key requirements
- Extensive experience leading large operational teams in a complex service delivery or contract management environment
- Strong financial management skills with budgeting experience and ability to meet performance targets
- Proven ability to build productive customer and stakeholder relationships and demonstrate effective leadership
- Experience leading change, continuous improvement and transformational programmes
- Management qualification, degree or equivalent leadership experience
